I was just doing some practice sketches of Pyramid Head when I decided to make a finalized one. I tweaked it around for a little and tried my best to recreate the scene I had in my head.

I included the Bible verse from Numbers 32:23, which came to mind when I pondered over the situation of James Sunderland and Pyramid Head. It's not very prominent on the image, though. That's because while I wanted to include it, I didn't want it to distract from the overall image.

Now, as for the subject matter of this image, I'm not sure why I picked the specific scene I did. It came to mind and I liked the idea, so I went with it.

PH is a lot harder to draw than he seems. That helmet and just the way he handles himself is difficult to get across just right.
However, it was worth it. Pyramid Head is a very compelling character to me. Not just because of his design, which is pretty neat, but the fact that there is so much symbolism regarding him. I love the fact he was meant to resemble an executioner, created by the town and certain peoples' delusions in order to punish them for their sins (yet he is also punished by wearing that painful helmet).
He even reflects the psyche of the person he is meant to torment.

He definitely reaches the levels of freaky, creepy, and disturbing.

But what really makes him stand apart from other video game villains, is that he's invincible. He's like the Grim Reaper - you can't kill him. The only thing that can kill Pyramid Head is - you guessed it - Pyramid Head.

And that's about it for my rambling.
