This is my IDD project I made as my second major project. I had to use actionscript to make an interactive project that incorporated text, images, and music. Unfortunately, the music isn't in this version since dA doesn't allow use of copyrighted music.
So, I made a tutorial for creating characters. There is a different kind of interaction on every slide. If you want to know what each interaction is (be it simple or not), keep reading. If not, figure it out for yourself.
The main screen: An owl follows your cursor, and you can click the links to go to the tutorial or the screen about Vint. (If you click the tutorial link, you have to go through the entire tutorial to get back to the main screen).
Vint screen: There's actually no interactivity here save for the arrow, which is self- explanatory anyway.
1st tutorial screen: Other than the arrow, no interaction here.
2nd tutorial screen: You can click on Vint after he's done writing.
3rd tutorial screen: You may enter information into the text boxes, and you can doodle on the white box under Vint's face.
4th tutorial screen: You can rollover and click on the links to go to the sites. I'm not sure if the site links will work or not (they work in testing, but you never know). If they don't, let me know.
5th tutorial screen: Here you can drag the parts of the outfit onto Vint, and rollover the image in the middle of the screen.
6th tutorial screen: Here, three Mary Sue monsters will pop up, and you have to shoot them! Make it quick or they'll fill up the screen. Double click on them to kill them. There is a link here to a Sue Litmus test. Let me know if it doesn't work.
7th tutorial screen: Vint here was originally dancing to Kirby's victory theme (the beginning part of it is repeated twice before the entire normal victory song is played). If you click on Vint here, you'll reach the slide that explains why I decided to make the tutorial, and an arrow to return to the last screen.]
Ah how adorable. X3 I love how interactive this is. Very nice tutorial. It explains things pretty well for the basics! I'll end up referring to this if I ever find a dead end in character creation. xD

Second off, I like this. It was good. It was a cool idea to actually let us be able to fill in that information thing, and then draw to. And I liked how Nightsage followed your cursor at first, that was cute.

Oh man, I knew of those first two naming websites, but I've never heard of that last one. Let's see what it is!

GAH! Okay, and autoplaying music. That's cool, I guess.
Oh, it's a dog website. So these are names for dogs. That's kinda clever, actually, and there's a whole bunch of names on here. I will probably use this in the future! Thanks!

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
