Maybe I've been watching House Season 2 episodes too much, but I came across a small part of one episode (The one called "Need to Know") and this little conversation had between House and the daughter of his patient reminded me of ~sarahn's character Jack. I think the lines "I'm not sad, I'm complicated" might have been the tip-off.

So I decided to draw the conversation just like it happens in the episode, what with the hand-holding and walking down a hallway towards an elevator (the daughter in the episode found her way to House's office and she was supposed to be somewhere else, so yeah). Some parts of this dialogue is a little different, obviously, since it has to fit Jack.

And I chose my character Deru to be the young child, mainly due to the fact that Deru is meeting up with my friends' characters in rps and all that...he might as well talk to another one of my favorites.

Although...Deru is a more bold in this than he probably would be around Jack (might be lucky for him to talk to the vampire at all), but if Deru mistook Jack for Quirinus, then maybe he wouldn't be AS shy. And no, Deru's parents aren't the "ignore what's wrong" type...that was from the House episode.

As for the comic itself, I kept the backgrounds and coloring simple, with the color red along with black, white, and gray (the color scheme ~sarahn tends to use in her manga pages).
