I guess I've just been in a VP mood...don't know why though.
Anyways, this is ~sarahn's character, Jack. I got the idea for this picture by going over some of the Vampire Phantasm past comic pages, and noticing how Orlock is associated with the Devil and/or Hell. So, I figured that being bitten by Orlock (as Jack was) is a good analogy to being 'marked' by the Devil himself. I even tried to making the bite marks and the blood flowing down them alluding to something more. So, I thought of having Jack, perhaps newly turned (or something like that) collapsed in a church. Why? I don't know. I just found the idea interesting, and less cliche in showing off the mark. Usually pictures in which a character has an unattractive scar or whatnot is shown with their shirt off or something, staring down at it sadly. And personally, I find Jack without his face showing in this picture is more expressive than any facial expression I could have given him.
